| With his passion for desserts he took his hobby and made it a career. From that time Philip affectionately became known by his Grandfather and the family as ‘Cheesecake Charlie’ –a name that has stuck with him to this very day. The millennium arrived together with Philip's decision to capitalize and develop the immense potential of the company. Spearheading this strategic drive, in 2002 Alan Laurier joined Philip as his business partner and fellow Director. The rest, as they say, is history! The English Cheesecake Company today manufactures those very same cult Cheesecakes and importantly still retains the original homemade ideals. The repertoire now also encompasses a mouth watering range of products including puddings, pies, tarts, brownies, and cakes.
