Sagegreen are delighted to be working with Simmers of Edinburgh in the foodservice arena from January 2007. Simmers of Edinburgh Ltd has extensive experience in the manufacture of oat cakes and biscuits stretching back to the 1888. Nairn’s was established shortly afterwards in 1896 and was acquired by Simmers, which was part of the United Biscuits group, in 1978. A management buyout in 1996 now sees Simmers of Edinburgh Ltd under a new management structure and growing from strength to strength. After some extensive foodservice research conducted by Sagegreen, Simmers are launching a complete range of healthy low fat and GI balanced sweet oat biscuits and savoury oat baked snacks in foodservice packs from January 2007.
